Spoonful of Chini
Ram ram! We are Maeve and Kart, and we are here to tell you to... Relax and Take A Deep Breath. For as long as you’re here, get yourself a cup of tea and a spoonful of sugar, and cozy up for some good reading.
Dear readers,
Here you can find stories, advice and helpful information about travel, long distance relationships, multicultural relationships, and living in India as a foreigner.
We are Maeve and Kart, introverts at heart who want to share some wisdom on long distance and multicultural relationships, specifically with the mix of American and Indian culture.
Our story goes like this: Maeve was a lover of letters, she loved them so much that she fell in love over letters. Now she has a penpal, partner, and friend for life after a brief exchange of emails. As if they were in the movie You’ve Got Mail, they shared their thoughts and personal philosophies through written word. Though unlike the movie, he doesn’t live in the same city. He doesn’t even live in the same country or continent. And yet, they married to stay together.
Long story short, we now live in India together, trying to combine two worlds and cultures into one.
How does that work? I can imagine anyone reading our posts is possibly in a rare situation as this, and we want to build on that community for encouragement.
So here we document our experiences to share with all of you.
Thanks for joining us,
Maeve & Kart
