Strolling through Aesthetic parts of Paris: Day 1 Itinerary

Day 1 Paris itinerary: Strolling through Aesthetic parts of Paris Day 1 Itinerary

No matter the length of your trip to Paris, get inspiration from this 5 day itinerary of Paris for strolling through the most aesthetic parts of the city. These spots are perfect for any time of the year.

Don’t just plan your trip around the Eiffel Tower. You might just get tired of looking at it after a couple of days in Paris.

I want you to plan a more unique itinerary for your trip. Don’t miss out on all the other gems Paris has to offer you.

These itineraries can be done without having to use the metro between every single location. Save money by strolling through Paris instead of seeing it from the top of a tour bus.

Paris seems big on a map, but you’ll be surprised by how much of Paris you can see in one day with only your two feet to carry you.

The locations on each itinerary are within walking distance. However, depending on your comfort level, you may choose to have your own transportation to make it easier for you.

I also want to encourage you to explore on your own. Use this itinerary as a guide, but go to what interests YOU.

Make your trip the most unique experience and stroll through Paris like you are actually part of it.

Starting with our Paris Itinerary day 1, let’s begin our trip!

Strolling through Aesthetic parts of Paris Day 1 Itinerary

Itinerary

L’île aux Cygnes
Av. de Camoens
Trocadéro Square
Carette Cafe
Arc de Triomphe (day)
Passerelle Debilly
Eiffel Tower
Champ de Mars
Arc de Triomphe (night)

Morning

L’île aux Cygnes

The day starts off with a morning stroll on the L’île aux Cygnes, a cute little island on the Seine river in the 15th arrondissement. This island is essentially a little park as it is mostly a walking trail. Here you can find the replica of the Statue of Liberty and La France Renaissante statue of Joan of Arc. It’s an aesthetic shot as it’s on a platform looking out to the Eiffel Tower.

Avenue de Camoens

Then you’re going to make your way over to Avenue de Camoens. This is the most ideal and aesthetic little street jutting out to the direction of the Eiffel Tower. It’s a quiet and gorgeous alleyway that provides a perfect view of the tower with beautiful apartments lining on either side.

Trocadéro Square

From there, make your way up the hill to Trocadéro Square. This is a beautiful open space with a direct view of the Eiffel Tower.

As I said in the beginning, it’s important to find unique experiences outside of the Eiffel Tower. But you also can’t miss it on your first trip to Paris. So take advantage of the aesthetic views and take a walk down to the Jardins du Trocadéro. This is the perfect place to relax in front of the fountains and enjoy the atmosphere and the beauty of the area.

Carette Cafe

A lot of people end up crossing the river towards The Eiffel Tower from there, but I recommend saving that for later. Instead, continue your way back up to Trocadéro Square and have a late breakfast at the well known Carette Cafe. You know those aesthetic hot chocolates that look so rich with the whipped cream on top and you would think you would die from sugar overload? That’s the one. Enjoy the best sweets and famous hot chocolates which Paris has to offer right here.

Afternoon

Arc de Triomphe

Make your way up to the famous Arc de Triomphe. The arc is listed on this itinerary two times, because it is important that you view this monument both during the day and night.

During the day you’ll get the best views of the Arc itself, and during the evening, you will get the best views of the city and its stunning lights from the top of the Arc de Triomphe.

Passerelle Debilly

After your first look at the Arc de Triomphe, go down Av. d’Iéna, and find your way over to Passerelle Debilly. This is a cute footbridge crossing the Seine, giving you another stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. It really has the most perfect angle along the river.

The Eiffel Tower

Now it’s time to go to one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world…
The Eiffel Tower.

The tower is unsurprisingly in a very busy spot, and it might be confusing to navigate at first. You need to find your way to security, and you can then make your way underneath the tower.

I recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time to actually go up the tower. You can either take the stairs or elevator, though I will say the line for the elevator is a very long wait. Whereas the stairs are easy and quick if you’re up for them. There are multiple levels to the tower, which gives you the best of every angle of Paris.

Champ de Mars

After enjoying the sights from the Eiffel Tower, enjoy the sights of the tower itself from the Champ de Mars. Behind the tower are fields and pathways lined with trees and benches leading up to the Eiffel Tower. Most would find this to be the most ideal spot for a picnic. Grab yourself some sweets from shops in the nearby area and enjoy an aesthetic afternoon picnic.

Evening

Arc de Triomphe

Because one view of the city from above isn’t enough, make your way back up to the Arc de Triomphe around sunset.

Like the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe has quite a bit of stairs, and it will probably wear you out considering the fact that you won’t get the same gorgeous views during the climb up to motivate you forward. However, once you reach the top you will find the most stunning views of Paris, probably even more stunning than from the Eiffel Tower.

Arc de Triomphe at Night
Arc de Triomphe at Night

Evening is the best time to climb the top of the Arc de Triomphe because all of the lights in Paris are turned on, including the Eiffel Tower itself. It’s by far the most romantic sight in Paris.

Afterward, it will be the perfect time to explore the city at night yourself. There are many restaurants surrounding the arc for a filling meal to end the day. I hope you enjoyed Paris itinerary day 1!
