For strolling through aesthetic parts of Paris day 4, we will be wandering beautiful old streets and pathways with lovely shops and museums.
Let’s begin our day!
Galerie Vivienne
Passage des Panoramas
Galeries Lafayette
Café de la Paix
Rue du Faubourg
Hôtel des Invalides
The Musée Rodin
Musée d’Orsay
Café de Flore
Église Saint-Sulpice
For today’s itinerary, we are on a search for adorable shops and pathways. The first on our list is Galerie Vivienne. This is a beautiful covered passageway that dates back to the turn of the 19th century.
Other covered passageways in this part of Paris is Passage des Panoramas and Passage Jouffroy. Both passageways have more old beautiful shops and restaurants to glance in. You can find all sorts of antique books and little knickknacks. These aesthetic galleries are perfect spots to enjoy shopping in Paris the authentic way.
Now after experiencing these adorable hidden paths of Paris, you need to see the most stunning mall in Paris. Galeries Lafayette is right near Palais Garnier, and is in a fairly busy shopping district. This mall is full of lights and astonishing decor. There’s also a beautiful glass dome above all the different levels of the mall. Whether you’re into shopping or if you’re like me and would like to pass, you won’t regret taking a walk through this elegant building. There is also a free observation deck on the rooftop of the building, where you can look out to the Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, and the rest of Paris with its beautiful architecture in the surrounding buildings. Stop by Café de la Paix for brunch, a beautiful and well known restaurant in the area that dates back to 1862.
If you prefer a scenic walk with beautiful old doorways and buildings, go down Rue du Faubourg and spend some time by Champs-Élysées.
Built in the 17th century, King Louis XIV created this large center for veterans as a hospital, a convent, which is now Hôtel des Invalides. Today, it contains the courtyard, and a few different museums, such as the Musée de l’Armée and Napoleon Bonaparte’s tomb. There’s plenty of history that remains here for all to see no matter what interests you.
Another museum that is a must see is The Musée Rodin. Included is a beautiful garden, the museum itself which is located in an 18th century hotel, and all the history and art within its walls. Many agree with me in saying that this is one of the best museums in Paris.
Our day of museums does not end here. We cannot forget about Musée d’Orsay, one of the most iconic museums in Paris. Located in a train station built at the turn of the 20th century, Musée d’Orsay is a museum featuring mostly impressionist art. A beautiful atmosphere in itself. Even if art isn’t your thing, give it a try as it is also an aesthetic old train station.
When in Paris, of course it’s important to try out some of the most classic old French cafés. One being Café de Flore and another one being Les Deux Magots. Both were very popular cafés among French philosophers, such as Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre, and other writers like Earnest Hemingway and Albert Camus. If you want to try out some existential thinking over a cup of coffee, this is the perfect place for you.
Our last destination for today is Église Saint-Sulpice, a stunning 17th century catholic church. Both the interior and exterior of the church is absolutely a wonder to look at. There’s also a lovely little square out front with a fountain, a perfect place to end a leisurely day of shopping and wandering beautiful museums in Paris.

The day starts off with a morning stroll on the L’île aux Cygnes, a cute little island on the Seine river in the 15th arrondissement. This island is essentially a little park as it is mostly a walking trail. Here you can find the replica of the Statue of Liberty and La France Renaissante statue of Joan of Arc. It’s an aesthetic shot as it’s on a platform looking out to the Eiffel Tower...
Start your day off with a calm morning in the Tuileries Garden. Grab breakfast on the go and find a bench to relax on in this beautiful garden. Be careful of the pigeons! They’ll try to be your friend but more will come and then your breakfast will be an uncomfortable stare down.
Let’s visit some of the oldest spots in Paris. We begin our day on the island of Saint-Louis. Here you’ll find some of the most beautiful architecture in Paris on the island with a wealth of history and charm. Take a walk along Quai de Bourbon to get the best out of the Seine and the beautiful streets of Île Saint-Louis. This quaint little island offers the most adorable shops with plenty of produce and sweets, and aesthetic little cafes as well...
